The 648-40 remote read head may be connected to the ProxNet reader or the ProxLock.
In the case of the ProxLock the yellow LED on the remote read head does not operate.
The cable should be kept as short as possible (the unit is supplied with a 1m cable).
The cable should not be extended beyond 5 metres as this will decrease the reading range of the remote read head and the ProxLock reader itself.
Before connecting the read head, the ProxLock reader should be powered down.
The installer should also take precautions to prevent any electrostatic discharge into the ProxLock reader while making the connections.
